The athletic fields at Sanford H. Calhoun, John F. Kennedy and Wellington C. Mepham high schools were filled with proud families, friends and school staff on June 14 as the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026.

Clad in blue, green and maroon caps and gowns, graduates crossed their respective stages before cheering crowds, marking the culmination of four years of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement and personal growth. The ceremonies featured student speeches, musical performances and reflections on the challenges and successes that defined the class’s high school experience.

As tassels were turned and diplomas awarded, district administrators, board members and faculty members praised the graduates for their resilience, leadership and commitment to their school communities. The celebrations marked the beginning of a new chapter for hundreds of students as they prepare to attend colleges and universities, enter the workforce, serve in the military or pursue other post-graduation opportunities.
