The Bellmores gather for a holiday celebration

Posted

The festivities were nothing short of spectacular for the annual Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores holiday extravaganza on Dec. 1.

Residents gathered at the corner of Bedford and Broadway at Veterans Memorial Park as they welcomed in the month of December and the holiday spirit with a Christmas tree lighting, horse and carriage rides, trolley rides, and festive treats.

Local children’s choirs joined in on the celebration, and as always, Santa Claus was there to pay a visit and take photos with kids.

Even with heavy rain, neighbors were not dissuaded from making their way to the event to get in the holiday spirit.

Right, the tree next to the Bellmore Long Island Railroad station was lit ahead of the holiday season.
