A landscaper was electrocuted while cutting down a tree at a home on Tanwood Court in Bellmore on Sept. 24, Nassau County police said.

A landscaper was electrocuted while cutting down a tree at a Bellmore home on Sept. 24, according to Nassau County police.

First Precinct officers responded to a home on Tanwood Court at about 5:30 p.m. Police said the landscaper was cutting down a tree when a fallen limb struck an electrical line, causing the tree to become energized.

The landscaper was electrocuted and pronounced dead at the scene by a Nassau County police medic.

The Homicide Squad is investigating the incident.
