Central Nassau Rotary donates chicken soup

The Central Nassau County Rotary Club and Foundation donated  $1,500 to the Chicken Soup for Health Care Responders, a partnership to provide food to medical professionals in hospitals by Ben's Deli and United Way of Long Island.

United Way has set up a Chicken Soup For Health Care Responders link on its website, www.unitedwayli.org/givechickensoup, where donors can contribute any amount.  The funds will be used to pay for cold cut sandwiches, hot dogs, knishes and soups, which will be packaged to avoid contamination and will be delivered to hospitals in Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The Rotary Club also donated $1,500 to The INN, which provides a broad variety of essential services to the homeless and those facing profound poverty.

The Central Nassau County Rotary Club is looking for new members who enjoy helping people and organizations in their community. To join the club’s next virtual meeting, follow the instructions on the Rotary’s website at https://www.centralnassaucountyrotary.org/ .
