Duo robs F.S. store

The AT&T Arjay Wireless store, at 995 Hempstead Turnpike in Franklin Square, was robbed on May 12, at 11 a.m., by two unidentified individuals.

According to the Nassau County Police’s 5th Precinct, a male sales clerk at the store was approached by two male subjects — one has been described as a white, six-foot male, wearing a black hat, black glasses, black T-shirt and blue jeans, and the other as a mid-20-year-old Middle Eastern male with a thin build, wearing a black/white scarf and dark jeans.

The two males forced the sales clerk into the inventory room, located in the rear of the store, and removed his wallet, which contained $700 in U. S. currency, credit cards, and a New York driver’s license. The clerk said that one suspect displayed a black handgun.

Both subjects fled the scene, on foot, in an unknown direction, according to police, and no injuries were reported. Detectives are requesting anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
