Vehicle stolen in Elmont

Nassau County police are looking for a man who reportedly stole a 2004 Honda from a 19-year-old man and his 17-year-old male friend after they stopped at the Elmont Delicatessen — located at 237-01 Linden Blvd. in Elmont — on Nov. 13.

According to police, after the 17-year-old exited the vehicle from the passenger side and entered the store (the 19-year-old remained in the vehicle), an unknown black man displaying a handgun approached the driver’s side of the vehicle and ordered the 19-year-old to get out. He did, and the suspect then entered the vehicle and fled the scene.

According to police, a Blackberry was left in the vehicle. No injuries were reported and there is no further description of the subject.
