The night went late at The Vault Cafe in Elmont as Fashion in the City 2 returned for its second year.
Bossed Up PopUps founder Julissa Duchatellier hosted the fashion show Sept. 12, bringing local designers and small-business owners together to showcase their work and connect with the community.
Bossed Up PopUps is a New York City-area event curator and networking platform that connects small-business owners, entrepreneurs and local creatives through pop-up markets, fashion shows and networking events. The group provides opportunities for local brands to showcase their work, meet other business owners and build connections within the community.
Models walked the runway in designs from Elegant Creative Fashions of Queens, Sedars Ankara Fashion and ShapeFitz. ShapeFitz also showcased pieces from its fitness and swimwear line.
The brand offers clothing in sizes ranging from extra small to 5X, with options for both men and women, including swimwear and workout clothing.
The night also included live performances, adding music and entertainment to the fashion show. A pop-up marketplace featured products from other local businesses.
