Franklin Square samaritan Dominick Martini, dies at 50

Members of the Franklin Square community know Dominick Martini as a good samaritan who was never a stranger to lending a helping hand.

Martini, born on June 11, 1973, died on Dec. 7. He is survived by his two daughters, Sophia and Jocelyn, and his wife of 24 years Christina Aniello-Martini.

Martini was a loyal friend with a huge heart, to those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

“He loved life and he tried to enjoy it as much as he could,” Aniello-Martini said.

Throughout his life, Martini held many jobs and explored various passions. He studied under medium Robert Hansen. Aniello-Martini said that Martini would read people, as a medium himself, to help them through the grieving process.

“He would say to me, ‘I don’t want to ask for money, because I just want to help them to feel better,” Aniello-Martini said.

Martini also produced several movies including “Rich Boy Rich Girl,” “The Brawler,” and “Tomorrow’s Today.” Martini additionally worked security at Target and worked as a truck driver more recently.

Throughout his life, Martini wanted to give back to others when he was in the position to do so, and would give checks to good Samaritans recognized within St. Catherine’s Church to help them in their endeavors.

“A good smile can warm the saddest heart,” Martini believed. His wish was to have made others smile.
