Elmont's Post 1033 holds 32nd annual 'Law & Order Recognition Night'

The American Legion Post 1033 in Elmont held its 32nd annual Law & Order Recognition Night on March 9, at Post 1033 in Elmont, to honor local officers and residents who have performed beyond their normal realm of everyday duties will also be honored.

Following the “Star-Spangled Banner,” sung by Andrea Martin, Master of Ceremonies William Ost, past commander of Post 1033, who has chaired the event for the past 32 years, honored police and fire personnel, as well as community residents.

Honorees included New York State Police Trooper Anthony Longarello, AMT Cathleen Walsh, Elmont Fire Department firefighter Richard Romani, Nassau County 5th Precinct police officers Juan Gerrone and Christopher Peters, Mounted Unit police officers Constantino and Quagliano, and community residents Janet Cerulli, Caron Cox, George Holub, Sam Strignana, Jean Madonia, Bibana Carrera, Dorit Brander, Keith Coutant, Sheila Shell, Marie Larosseliere and Muzzio Tallini,
