House fire in Elmont

The Elmont Fire Department responded to a house fire on Warwick Road at 11:50 a.m. on April 7.

According to Assistant Chief Ronald Conti, the two-story home had a working fire on the second floor. Engine 2 and Truck 2 were the first on the scene. The fire was brought under control in approximately 25 minutes. One firefighter received minor injuries. The cause and origin of the fire are currently under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshals.
