Though Make A Difference Day was Oct. 26, Ogden Elementary School students and staff celebrated two days early by donating new or gently used shoes to the Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead and running a mini-marathon around their school field.

Lighting the menorah at Cedarhurst Park

Rabbi Schneur Wolowik of the Chabad of the Greater Five Towns led the lighting of the giant menorah in Andrew J. Parise Cedarhurst Park in Cedarhurst on Dec.8, the first night of Hanukkah. In addition to the menorah lighting there was singing and dancing to the traditional holiday songs.
