Packing up for school success

Posted

Volunteers ranging in age from 4 to senior citizen took part in the annual Supplies for Success program sponsored by the UJA Federation of New York, where donated backpacks are filled with a variety of school supplies for students through high school.

This year, the packing took place at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns campus in Lawrence on Aug. 13. Binders, colored pencils, crayons, glue sticks, highlighters, index cards, marble notebooks, markers, pencils, pens, pocket folders, scissors and spiral notebooks filled the backpacks.
