Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Franklin Square on April 18, in the early afternoon, according to the Franklin Square-Munson Fire Department.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Rintin Street in Franklin Square. According to the F.S. department, both vehicles sustained serious damage and the drivers of each vehicle were transported to area hospitals by Nassau County Police Department and Franklin Square-Munson Fire Department ambulances. No other individuals were involved in the accident.

Along with fire department officials, local police officers were on scene to clear the site. No other information has been provided at this time.
