Franklin Square woman killed in Carle Place crash

A 71-year-old woman from Franklin Square was struck and killed by a vehicle in Carle Place on April 2, at 8 p.m.
According to the Nassau County Police Department, Anna Cedeno of Franklin Square was crossing Old Country Road when she was hit by a BMW that was traveling westbound, east of Zeckendorf Boulevard.
She was taken to a local hospital, where she died shortly later, police said.
Detectives have not reported any criminality at this time. The vehicle was impounded from the scene for brake and safety inspections.
