Woman robbed in front of F.S. pharmacy

The 4th Squad is investigating a robbery it says occurred in front of a Franklin Square CVS pharmacy at 7:45 a.m. on Aug. 28.

Police say that a 40-year old woman was sitting in front of the CVS on Franklin Avenue with her cell-phone on the ground and her hand covering it. She was approached from behind by an unknown black man who proceeded to hit her, take her phone and flee the scene on foot. There were no injuries reported.

The woman described the man as 19 to 21 years old, approximately 5’8 tall, dark complexion, medium build and wearing black pants and a blue shirt.
