A man crossing North Main Street in Freeport was struck by a car late last night, leaving him hospitalized and in critical condition.
On Aug. 2, at about 10:05 p.m. a 44-year-old man was crossing North Main Street in the vicinity of Prince Avenue when he was struck by a 2018 Buick Encore traveling northbound. The operator of the vehicle was a 30-year-old man, and he did not flee the scene.
The pedestrian sustained serious unspecified physical injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Homicide Squad of the Nassau County Police Department reports that the investigation is on-going.
