The aroma of homemade Italian food, the glow of carnival lights and the sounds of live music once again filled the grounds of the Church of St. Rocco as thousands of visitors gathered for the parish’s annual Feast of St. Rocco from July 30 through Aug. 2. The four-day celebration blended faith, family and tradition with carnival rides, games, Italian specialties, nightly entertainment and the beloved Sunday procession honoring St. Rocco, patron saint of the sick. For generations, the feast has served as both a cherished summer tradition and an important fundraiser for the parish, bringing together parishioners, local families and visitors from across Long Island to celebrate the community’s rich Italian-American heritage.
