I.P. woman stole Christmas decorations, police say

Island Park had its own "Grinch Who Stole Christmas" moment when a woman allegedly stole decorations from the front lawn of a home on Truxton Road.

Surveillance footage shows that on Dec. 13 at 3:15 a.m., someone drove up to the home in a light-colored Kia Soul, grabbed some Lollypop light up ornaments, plus the power cords and timers, jumped back in the car and fled.

Nassau County Police have arrested Tiffany C. Fischer, 31, of Island Park for the theft. She was charged with Petit Larceny and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Hempstead on Jan. 7.
