52 LBHS students earn AP Scholar awards

A total of 52 students from Long Beach High School have earned the designation of Advanced Placement Scholar from the College Board, in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level Advanced Placement Program (AP) Exams. The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on student’s performance on AP exams. Seventeen were named AP Scholars with Distinction, 13 were named AP Scholars with Honor, and 21 earned the designation of AP Scholar.

AP Scholars with Distinction
Seventeen students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams: Cole Blum, Brandon Abasolo,Christy Ambrosini,Rei Duruz,Thomas Glazer,Mark Goodman,Alison Hemsley, Spencer Jaffe,Samantha Larsen, Kelly Lester, Robert Levokove,Brandon Martz, Leah Michaels, Joshua Nelson, Renee Smucker, Jesse Sutz, Lena Weiss.


AP Scholars with Honor
Thirteen students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP exams, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams: Alyssa Blumenthal, Julia Budassi, Richard Chan, Max Cuttler, Justin Fischgrund, Jennifer Gilbert, Cruz Granados, Hallie Klein, Michelle Leonetti, Michael Mallazzo, Rebecca Miller, Daniel Popper, Zoey Topper.

AP Scholars
Twenty-two students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams, with grades of 3 or higher: Perry Acks, Chloe Berkowitz,Margo Dorfman, Erica Dubow, Sarah Dwyer, Travis Fishman, Megan Gallagher, Leila Garcia, Joshua Gross, Joslyn Jasper, Jordan Kamzam, Yuli Kato, Kimberly Koff, Miriam Kwietniewska, Jesse Martz, Ryan Murdy, Bailey Robertson, Jacqueline Schlossberg, Leonard Schnier, Gregory Sedlik, Alex Solomon, Allisyn Weinshank.
