Light Rain Long Beach Fireworks show canceled

The annual Long Beach fireworks show has been canceled.

The fireworks display, which was set for July 4 and postponed to Sept. 4, has been canceled because of continuing concerns about the coronavirus pandemic, Long Beach City Hall officials have announced. It was the first time in recent memory that Long Beach has not had a fireworks show.
On Labor Day, Sept. 7, City Hall, the Recreation Center, Ice Arena and Magnolia Senior Center and the YFS Day Care will all be closed. City buses will run on a holiday schedule, and there will be no sanitation pickup.
