The City of Long Beach celebrated Veteran’s Day Saturday with its annual gathering in City Hall. Veterans and community members alike came together to show support and gratitude for those who have, and are currently, serving. Over 100 community members crowded City Hall’s meeting room on the sixth floor to show support.

Long Beach Middle School seventh-grade students also took part, placing 50 flags in front of the Long Beach Public Schools District Offices to honor veterans for Veteran’s Day. The flags were placed on the side of Lido Boulevard, so all driving past could see. Students were excited to place the flags and show their recognition and support.
