Fifth graders from Lynbrook’s three elementary schools celebrated the next step in their academic journeys during moving-up ceremonies on June 25.

Students at Marion Street, Waverly Park and West End elementary schools marked the occasion with musical performances, student speeches and messages of encouragement from their principals as family and friends looked on.

At each ceremony, principals reflected on students’ growth and urged them to embrace new opportunities as they begin middle school. Student leaders also shared memories and words of encouragement with their classmates.

Graduates received their diplomas and recognition awards before officially becoming Lynbrook’s newest middle school students.
