The Lynbrook Village Board approved advertising for bids for new gateway signs and concrete foundations at Greis Park as part of planned improvements to one of the village’s busiest recreational spaces.
During the July 13 meeting, trustees authorized the village to seek sealed bids for two custom gateway signs, with proposals due Sept. 10. The board also approved seeking bids for four concrete foundations associated with the project. Mayor Alan Beach said bids will be publicly opened after the submission deadline and reviewed by the village.
“All bids will be submitted on a form supplied by the village clerk,” Beach said.
He added that “the Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids if they’re not in the best interest of the village.”
Greis Park serves as a hub for recreation and community events throughout the year, hosting the annual Lynbrook Titans Carnival, summer concerts, movie nights, youth sports and numerous village-sponsored programs. Village officials said the new gateway signs are intended to enhance the park’s entrance as improvements continue.
