The Lynbrook Union Free School District will provide breakfast and lunch at no cost to students during the 2026-27 school year through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.
The district announced that children served under the federal programs will be able to receive school meals free of charge throughout the upcoming academic year. The programs are administered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture and are intended to ensure students have access to nutritious meals during the school day.
Families seeking additional information about the district’s school meal program can contact Joel C. Press, assistant superintendent for finance, operations and information systems, at joel.press@lynbrookschools.org or through the district office at 111 Atlantic Ave. in Lynbrook.
The district also noted that its school meal programs are operated in accordance with federal civil rights requirements and USDA nondiscrimination policies.
