Lynbrook seeks community input in superintendent search forums

Posted

The Lynbrook School District is inviting residents and members of the school community to share their input as the Board of Education searches for the district’s next superintendent.

The board has enlisted School Leadership LLC to assist with the search and gather feedback from district stakeholders about the qualities and characteristics they would like to see in Lynbrook’s next educational leader.

The search comes as Superintendent Dr. Paul Lynch prepares to retire on June 30, 2027, after 18 years with the Lynbrook School District.

Two community forums will be held in October, giving parents, residents and other stakeholders an opportunity to discuss the district’s strengths and priorities and what they believe the board should look for in its next superintendent.

The first forum will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Lynbrook High School auditorium, 9 Union Ave. A second forum is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Atlantic Avenue boardroom, 111 Atlantic Ave.

Both sessions will be facilitated by School Leadership LLC. Feedback gathered during the forums will be used to help develop a leadership profile and guide the superintendent search.
