The 5th annual Arts from the Heart variety performance was held at St. James United Methodist Church in Lynbrook on Sunday, May 22 at 12:30 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the InterFaith Nutrition Network (INN).
Performers included Pam Murano, Stan Damast, Kerry Koehler, Monica Gigante, Elliot Brower, Matt Flood, Rich Barbaria, Barbara Carroll and Andrew Schwartz. Ramona Spooney was a guest performer. The show’s finale was “Until All Are Fed,” by Brian Field McFarland.
“It's exciting to see how the show is growing,” said musical director and coordinator Jean Stevenson. “We missed a couple of performers from years past, but welcomed newcomers Rich Barbaria and Ramona Spooney. It was particularly thrilling to have two of the young men from St. James graduate from the children's chorus to sing a couple of songs on their own. And of course, the cause is an important part of our mission at St. James. We look forward to the chance to make a difference.”
