All the right (chess) moves at the library

Posted

A chess workshop is officially under way at the Merrick Library. The four-week program offers children in grades one to six the opportunity to learn the fine art of this age-old game of wits.

Taught by instructor Bob Sostack, the workshop began recently with a tutorial on the various pieces and moves, and then the children squared off against one another to show their skills.
