Residents of Oyster Bay marched their way through the heart of the hamlet in the annual Fourth of July parade to celebrate the United States’ semiquincentennial; 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress.
Featuring firefighters and first responders, historical reenactors and elected officials, scouts of all ages and members of local clubs, the event saw Americans come together and celebrate 250 years of freedom from British tyranny.
