According to police, a woman who U.S. marshals were tracking turned up at the mail facility with a bottle marked "sodium cyanide."

Celestino Tiburcio, of Clinton Avenue, was arrested on the afternoon of July 24 for his role in a traffic dispute. The 60-year-old Rockville Centre resident allegedly threatened a family with a machete on Sunrise Highway during what police described as a road rage incident.

Workers demolishing the vacant Smith Barney and Sylvia's Corset buildings on Merrick Road on July 14 accidentally sent a brick wall toppling into scaffolding, partially collapsing it. No one was injured and there was minimal damage at the construction site, the future home of a TD Bank branch.

No one was injured and there was no damage Tuesday afternoon as workers demolishing the vacant Smith Barney and Sylvia’s Corset buildings on Merrrick Road accidentally caused a brick wall to hit a scaffold, causing a partial collapse. The site is under construction for a new TD Bank branch.
