Athletes from 'The Rock' resound in village races

Rockville Centre athletes who train at CrossFit “The Rock” produced impressive results in last weekend’s 5K and 10K races. Among the more notable performances, Liz Fernandez (41:30) was the second overall female finisher in the 10K and Tom Walsh (18:29) placed second overall in the 5K. Also in the 5K race, Christine Umstatter (24:51) took first place in the female 20-24 division. In the 10K race, Tom Umstatter (43:12) garnered third place in the male 25-29 division and Dennis Graham (45:35) ran to a second place finish in the male 20-24 division. In all, 25 athletes from CrossFit “The Rock” competed in the weekend’s races and took home a total of seven age-group medals.
