Crime watch: Rockville Centre

Robbery

On May 24 at 6:21 p.m., an Oceanside resident reported that an unknown person attempted to rob him at gunpoint to steal his Playstation. An agreement was previously in place for the subject to buy the console from the victim. The person, whose identity was not revealed, was arrested by the Rockville Centre Police Department after the incident.

Harassment

At 9:40 a.m. on May 25, a Raymond Street resident notified police that he received harassing text messages by an unknown person.

A Morris Avenue resident reported that a family member sent him harassing text messages on May 27 at 12:23 p.m.

On May 28 at 5:26 p.m., the manager of a Sunrise Highway car dealership notified police that harassing phone calls were made to the business.

Larceny

At 2:53 p.m. on May 27, a Hempstead resident reported that his backpack containing personal items was stolen after he left it outside of his parked car on Burtis Avenue.

A North Centre Avenue resident notified police that her car was stolen from the parking garage in her apartment building on May 28 at 9:55 a.m.
