Nassau County police arrested four males, including two juveniles, in connection with a pair of early-morning burglaries that included a vape shop in Rockville Centre, authorities said.
According to police, the burglaries occurred Dec. 12 at approximately 12:34 a.m. at Tobacco Town and Vape Shop on Long Beach Road in Oceanside and about 1:18 a.m. at Rockville Centre Smoke and Vape on North Village Avenue. Detectives said four suspects forcibly entered both businesses.
Following an investigation by Nassau County police First Squad detectives, with assistance from multiple police units and the Hempstead Police Department, officers identified a white 2016 Nissan Rogue believed to be used in the crimes and located it on Ormand Street in Hempstead.
Michael Cooper, 30, of North Valley Stream, Jaison Burton, 20, of Hempstead, and two juvenile males, ages 17 and 16, were arrested without incident. Police said proceeds from the Rockville Centre burglary were recovered from the vehicle.
All four are charged with burglary, attempted burglary, and criminal mischief. Cooper and Burton were scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 13 at First District Court, while the juvenile defendants are to be arraigned at the County District Court Youth Center.
