Children attending the Rockville Centre/Lakeview Economic Opportunity Council’s Head Start program were treated to a pre-holiday visit from Santa Claus and McGruff the Crime Dog on Dec. 22. They received coloring books, badges and approximately 30 gifts that were supplied by Head Start.
Youth Officer Det. Michael Norwood, who organized the event, was accompanied by Charlie Kee and Tom Cooke from the Rockville Centre Fire Department who were Santa Claus and his assistant, respectively. Mary Babcock filled in as McGruff.
