A 31-year-old man was arrested twice over two days following separate incidents at the Best Western Mill River Manor hotel in Rockville Centre, according to police.

Jevaughn Smart, who is currently homeless, was arrested at about 9:22 p.m. on Aug. 31 and charged with assault after police said he pushed his pregnant girlfriend and threw her to the ground at the hotel, located at 173 Sunrise Hwy.

Smart was released from jail and returned to the Best Western at about 5:45 p.m. on Sept. 1 to collect his clothing, police said.

According to police, Smart became irate and violent while at the hotel and injured four police officers who responded to the incident.

Smart was arrested again and charged with four counts of assault, according to police.

The New York State Unified Court System lists a Nassau District Court case for Smart stemming from the Sept. 1 arrest. He appeared at Nassau District Court in Mineola on Sept. 8.
