On Monday night, Molloy College conferred degrees upon members of the class of 2010, the college's 52nd graduating class, during a ceremony at Nassau Coliseum.

In addition to the 895 students who received their undergraduate and graduate degrees, Molloy awarded three others with honorary doctorates: Crisler Quick, the Vice Chair of the Board and the Chair of the Fiscal Affairs Committee for the Molloy College Board of Trustees; Rabbi Barry Dov Schwartz, the retiring leader of Rockville Centre's Temple B'nai Sholom; and James McCann, the owner of 1-800-FLOWERS.com who was the commencement ceremony's keynote speaker.

"These three honorees are all pilgrims," said Molloy College President Dr. Drew Bogner. "[They] illustrate how we want you as Molloy graduates to live a life of meaning and purpose."

"Each of you is now a brand," said McCann, who offered advice based on his life experiences. "And everything you do from this point forward is going to affect your brand."

After speaking about how lucky he's been in life, he left the class of 2010 with a wish for their futures. "I hope you're at least as lucky as I've been," he said.
