The St. Agnes Knights of Columbus Council #2548 collected 43 pints of blood from 42 volunteer donors during its second blood drive of 2026 on July 12 at the St. Agnes Parish Center.

The drive was supported by eight Knights of Columbus volunteers and seven employees from the New York Blood Center, helping provide lifesaving blood for patients undergoing medical procedures, surgeries and emergency treatment.

St. Agnes Grand Knight Joe D'Aleo thanked the volunteer donors and staff for donating their time to the important community effort. Organizers noted that while only about 3 percent of the U.S. population donates blood, those donors provide the nation's entire blood supply.

The council's next blood drive is scheduled for Sept. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the St. Agnes Parish Center. Appointments and additional information are available at NYBC.org.
