Rockville Centre resident gives back to the community

When organizers of the St. Agnes CYO girls volleyball program announced the start to its second season earlier this year, they received an overwhelming response from interested participants. With a clear need for volunteers and coaches, Elizabeth Nugent, a Molloy College volleyball player and Rockville Centre resident, stepped up to help the program. Nugent was a huge asset at tryouts, where more than 110 girls competed for 60 roster positions. She went on to coach the 6th grade team and assist with the new 5th grade intramural developmental program, bringing a wealth of knowledge about the game and was a positive role model for the young players in the community.
