Peter Scatorro helped decorate the Sandel Center for the garden party on Sept. 16. He has been coming to the senior center for more than nine years.

The Sandel Senior Center hosted its annual garden party on Sept. 16, with about 75 in attendance. According to Program Coordinator Kathe Hardenburgh, the ladies dressed up in “pretty dresses and hats and enjoyed themselves in the garden park in the back of the building.” The seniors made ice cream sundaes using 10 different flavors and a variety of toppings while they relaxed in the garden. “All the beautiful flowers were planted by our seniors themselves, they feed them and nourish them,” Hardenburgh said.
