RVCPD Inspector is FBI Grad

On June 10 Rockville Centre Police Inspector Glenn Quinn, the chief executive of the department, became the first village officer in 35 years to graduate from the FBI’s National Academy in Quantico, Va.

Quinn was among 246 law enforcement officers from 22 countries, 48 states and three military organizations to successfully complete the Academy’s 245th session, a 10-week course in advanced investigation and management for senior personnel.

“He has joined an exclusive club,” said Police Commissioner Charles Gennario, “and the department will greatly benefit from his courses of study and executive development. We take great pride in congratulating him for this prestigious accomplishment.”

Quinn joined the Rockville Centre department in 1985 and was named Police Officer of the Year in 1992. He was promoted to sergeant in 1997, to lieutenant in 2002 and to inspector in 2010. He earned a B.A. from Queens College in English and economics in 1982.

A total of 44,783 have graduated from the FBI Academy since its founding in July 1935.
