Snaps American Bistro opens Rockville Centre location to replace The Tavern

Snaps American Bistro, which has built a loyal following in Wantagh, is opening a second location on North Park Avenue in Rockville Centre.

Owned and operated by Scott and Patty Bradley, Snaps offers a beer, wine and cocktail list and American fare, including appetizers like lobster truffle man and cheese, braised short rib and blue cheese quesadillas, and crispy chicken teriyaki wontons. Main dishes include a variety of salads, snap’wiches and burgers, along with entrees like the baja burrito bowl, rigatoni vodka, five spice ahi tuna and the grilled hanger steak.

The casual neighborhood restaurant will move into 13 N. Park Ave., the space formerly occupied by the Tavern by George Martin. A gastropub serving contemporary American fare, the Tavern replaced the GM Club Steak last year. Other restaurants owned by the restaurant group include George Martin the Original and GM Burger Bar.
