Tuesday’s cool and cloudy weather helped to push thoughts of summer away as Rockville Centre’s 3,600 public school students headed back to school after their summer vacation. As returning students tried to settle back into their routines while adjusting to new classes and teachers, kindergartners coming to school for the very first time displayed a range of emotions as they embarked on their school careers.
