Delivery truck crashes into Bellmore Post Office

A Newsday delivery-truck driver lost control of his vehicle early on Tuesday morning, around 1:25 a.m., sending the vehicle hurtling into the Bellmore Post Office on Merrick Road. The driver, who leapt or fell from the truck when he tried to catch a pile of falling newspapers, was reportedly injured and rushed to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment.
