Hendrickson Park building re-opens

Twelve months ago, the Hendrickson Park administration building was heavily damaged when it filled with three feet of water in a storm. Eight inches of rain fell on Valley Stream in a matter of hours on Aug. 14, 2011, overflowing the lake and leaving the building in need of major repair. more

Valley Stream Target will be shutting its doors until later this year, beginning April 29, in order to renovate the store. Eligible employees will be able to transfer to nearby locations while the store is under construction.

The Valley Stream Target store is scheduled to undergo a remodeling project beginning in May that will cause the location to be closed for six months. The store’s last day of business before construction begins will be April 29. more

After 45 years at the Hendrickson Park administration building, the Silver Threads senior group was relocated to the Firemen’s Field clubhouse after a severe rainstorm on Aug. 14 flooded their meeting spot. more
