Fire District meetings are held at the Baldwin Fire District Headquarters, 2386 Grand Avenue, on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

Sanitary District No. 2 April 5 metting has been cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday, April 12 at 5 p.m. The board meetings will return to its regular schedule on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 5 p.m. at 2080 Grand Ave.

Kiwanis Club meetings are held weekly at the Coral House, 70 Milburn Ave., on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

Rotary Club meetings are held weekly at the Coral House,

70 Milburn Ave., on Thursdays at 12:15 p.m.

South Hempstead Civic Association meets every second Wednesday of the month at the So. Hempstead Fire Dept., 555 May St., at 8 p.m. For more information, call 236-8211.

All Saints' Episcopal Church has a new schedule of services for fall. Holy Eucharist will be held on Sundays at 8 a.m., with Sunday school at 9:45 and Sung Eucharist at 10. There will also be Holy Eucharist on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.

6TH ANNUAL BALDWIN PUBLIC LIBRARY DAY Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy a fun-filled day of open-house activities, and discover all the Library has to offer. The day will begin with a greeting by the Board of Trustees, followed by programs for adults and children as well as tours, raffles, giveaways and refreshments. Children ages 3 and up will enjoy the magic and comedy of Jim McClenahan at 1:30 p.m. in the Children's Room. Joan Roberts, Broadway actress and singer will perform at 2 p.m. in the Community Room for adults. The Board of Trustees will be available throughout the day to meet with patrons. Winners of the Bookmark Contest for grades K-12 will be awarded at the conclusion of the day. The Library will also be open for regular service.
