Six Uniondale students recognized as Barry Tech students of the quarter

Six students from the Uniondale School District were recognized as Students of the Quarter for the third quarter at Nassau BOCES Barry Tech.

The students were among 125 Nassau County students honored this spring for their academic performance, attendance, work ethic and preparedness. According to Nassau BOCES, Students of the Quarter demonstrate leadership in the classroom and workplace, take initiative on projects and serve as role models for their peers.

The Uniondale students recognized were:

  • Oscar Gomez Medrano: Automotive Technology
  • Julisa Hernandez: Veterinary Science
  • Jeremiah Love: Auto Skills
  • Basil Mineros: Barbering Technician
  • Nemely Rivera-Argueta: Medical Assisting
  • Brandon Valladares Gonzalez: Network Cabling Technician/HTI

Students were honored by Nassau BOCES Barry Tech and GC Tech career and technical education high schools as part of the third-quarter Student of the Quarter recognition program.
