Car enthusiasts will have two opportunities to admire classic and custom vehicles this month at events in Uniondale. The Viper Collision Car & Bike Show will take place July 18, from 2 to 7 p.m., at the John J. Byrne Community Center, 925 Jerusalem Ave. The family-friendly event will feature custom cars, motorcycles, food trucks, vendors and activities for children. Proceeds will benefit the John J. Byrne Community Center. On July 26, the Long Island Corvette Owners Association will host Vettes, Jets & Rockets from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. outside the Cradle of Aviation Museum in their parking lot located on Museum Row. The event will showcase Corvettes alongside performance, custom and classic vehicles. At the end, spectators can vote for their favorite car. The show free of charge, while vehicle registration costs $20 and includes admission to the museum galleries. Proceeds from registrations will support the museum’s education and preservation programs.
The Uniondale Public Library will host two wellness programs on Wednesday, July 22, encouraging residents to focus on both physical and mental well-being. The evening begins with Walk With Us from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., meeting outside the library entrance. The weekly community walk invites residents of all ages to explore Uniondale while enjoying the health benefits of walking. The program is weather permitting. Later, from 7 to 8 p.m., adults are invited to participate in a Sound Healing Meditation led by instructor Diane Campbell in the library’s meeting room. The session will focus on opening the body’s seven main chakras, or energy centers, through sound, vibration and frequency. According to the library, the practice is designed to promote deep relaxation, self-healing and mental clarity. Both programs are free. Families looking for free summer entertainment can enjoy two interactive children’s performances in Uniondale as part of the Town of Hempstead’s 2026 Summer Children’s Shows series. The Darlene Graham Duo will perform “Sunshine & Songs” at Cedar Street Park on July 28 at 10:30 a.m. The high-energy singalong invites children and caregivers to sing, dance, clap and play along to songs celebrating sunshine, animals, beach days and summertime adventures. The interactive program features lively music, audience participation and hands-on fun designed for young children and families. The Kerboom Kidz program will be at Bernard Brown Park on Aug. 4 at 1:30 p.m. The energetic performance combines music, movement and motivational activities to promote wellness, teamwork and confidence among children. Designed for students from prekindergarten through high school, including those with special needs, the program encourages participants to stay active while building self-esteem through interactive games and activities.
