Students and staff at Turtle Hook Middle School traded their usual attire for orange and blue on June 15 as the school celebrated the New York Knicks’ NBA championship victory.
The spirit day followed the Knicks’ championship-clinching win over the San Antonio Spurs on June 13, which secured the franchise’s first NBA title in 53 years. Students and teachers throughout the school wore team colors to show their support and celebrate the historic achievement.
The event brought school spirit to classrooms and hallways as members of the Turtle Hook community joined fellow Knicks fans across the region in marking the long-awaited championship. The school celebrated a week before celebrating their role in the championship.
