Costumes, candy and creatively decorated vehicles brought Halloween excitement to Uniondale on Oct. 31. Local families gathered for a community trunk-or-treat celebration in the parking lot across from the Uniondale Public Library.
The event invited children and families to enjoy an afternoon of Halloween festivities in a safe, welcoming environment. Community members and volunteers handed out candy, toys, pencils and stickers to trick-or-treaters.
The celebration was organized by the Kiwanis Club of Uniondale United in partnership with Nassau County Legislator Olena Nicks, Harvest for the World, the Squad Williams Foundation and Viper Collision.
The event brought community organizations and residents together for an afternoon of Halloween fun, offering families an opportunity to celebrate the spooky season close to home.
“With spooky season now upon us, I am so happy to see how community organizations like the Uniondale Kiwanis Club are stepping up to create inviting spaces for families to make Halloween memories,” Nicks said. “I hope you’ll join us with your kids and your afternoon for a safe afternoon of trunk-or-treating, right here in our own backyard!”
