The Uniondale Empowerment Resource Center will host its second annual Breast Cancer Award Dinner on Nov. 7 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Nassau Community College’s CCB Multipurpose Room.

The event will celebrate breast cancer survivors and honor the late Novella Harris, who died of the breast cancer in 2024 at age 78 and left a legacy of love and generosity in the community.  Harris served alongside her husband of 47 years, Bishop Robert Harris, at Grace Cathedral International in Uniondale, where she was consecrated as pastor in 1996.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit breast cancer research and provide medical supplies and support for survivors. Local businesses are also invited to purchase advertisements in the event journal.

Early-bird tickets cost $100 per person through Oct. 23 and $125 afterward. Tickets are limited.
