Three Nassau BOCES employees from Levittown, Floral Park and Long Beach were recognized for their outstanding contributions to education at the 24th Annual SCOPE School District Awards Dinner earlier this spring. The ceremony highlighted their dedication to supporting school programs and services across Long Island.
Jeffrey Diebold of Floral Park, Theresa Schaefer-Bell of Long Beach, and Jason Lew of Levittown were each honored at the event. They work in Nassau BOCES' Department of Special Education, Communications Office, and Facilities Services, respectively.
Diebold and Schaefer-Bell received the Administrator Service Award, recognizing their leadership and impact. Lew earned the Support Staff Service Award for his work maintaining district facilities.
SCOPE Education Services, founded in 1964, is a not-for-profit organization chartered by the NY State Board of Regents. It offers professional development, enrichment programs, childcare, and certification courses for educators, parents, and students.
